RuhrBühnen*Spezial: Summer programme

For the third edition of the RuhrBühnen*Spezial, Schauspiel Essen invites you to the Grillo Theatre in June for Nora Abdel-Maksoud's hilarious comedy Jeeps. The play uses a great deal of wordplay to illustrate what it would be like if a lot and not birth decided who received an inheritance.

The Grillo Theatre opens its doors one hour before the performance begins (6.30 p.m.). With a little luck, visitors can win theatre-related prizes in a theatre lottery at Café Central. After the performance, there will be a discussion with the actors and the dramaturge.

Tickets for the performance cost 15.00 euros for all seats and are available via the webshop of the Theater und Philharmonie Essen as well as at the TicketCenter (II. Hagen 2, Essen) and via the ticket hotline T +49 (0) 201 81 22 200.

Before the Ruhrtriennale continues in August, the theatres go on a well-deserved summer break in July.

In August, visitors can look forward to a special world premiere at the Ruhrtriennale: the immersive music theatre installation Abendzauber with songs by Icelandic artist Björk.

Tickets for the performances on Saturday, 24 August 2024, at 3 p.m., 3.25 p.m., 3.50 p.m. and 4.15 p.m. are available in the Ruhrtriennale webshop at a price of 15.00 euros.
