Experience art in inclusive way with our Relaxed Performances! We strive to create a welcoming, laidback atmosphere for those who find formal settings challenging. This includes neurodivergent individuals and people with disabilities or other access needs. Whether it’s a concert or a piece for Young audiences, these performances offer space to experience the Event in your own way.
Two categories of seating are available via the web shop. There are chairs in the upper section of the grandstand and no chairs in the lower section. You can either sit on the floor or on cushions. Within these two categories there is a free choice of seats. Early entry allows all visitors to choose their seats at their own pace.
Notice: The sound at the event Relaxed With ... GenZ Don't Cry on 21 September will only be heard through headphones. Headphones will be provided.
Will Gregory Moog Ensemble (24 August)
The Will Gregory Moog Ensemble consists of several synthesiser players. Together they sound like an electronic orchestra. The ensemble plays a selection of classical works and their own rhythmically exciting pieces on analogue synthesizers, supported by percussion instruments.
Tyshawn Sorey Trio (31 August)
The Tyshawn Sorey Trio consists of three musicians who perform jazz standards on drums, upright bass and piano. The outstanding drummer, composer, trombonist and conductor Tyshawn Sorey leads the trio and is known for his experimental approach to music, drawing inspiration from a variety of genres.
uKhoiKhoi (7 September)
The duo uKhoiKhoi call their music style ‘indigenous electro’. The two musicians from South Africa combine guitar, keyboard, vocals and percussion. Their music is inspired by their cultural roots in the South African Khoisan tribes. Gîn Bali (14 September)
Kurdish-German musician and sound artist Gîn Bali provides the music for the play GenZ Don't Cry. She has put together a DJ set for her relaxed performance, perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
GenZ Don't Cry (21 September)
In GenZ Don't Cry, people born between 1995 and 2010 have their say. Their thoughts are brought to life through headphones worn throughout the play. A 3D soundscape is created on stage, performed by young people from the Ruhr area. The result is an immersive sound and innovative theatre experience for everyone over the age of 14.
